In 1953 Christian Flensted cut three storks in cardboard and mounted them in two sticks of straw.
The mobile was a a christening gift for his daughter.
It is said to have magical powers, so if you want to have a child hang it over your bed.”

- The Flensted Mobiles fairytale is actually based on two straws and three paper storks. For this was what Christian Flensted cut out and assembled in 1953 when celebrating the christening of his daughter. The result was the stork mobile and ended up as the prelude to Flensted Mobiles. Made in Denmark.
